Did any of these guys significantly raise their draft stock by staying another year?

Barkley is 1 or 2 this year in draft qb projects, so his combine will tell...BUT his motive was a chance to do something great in the offense which would have handed him the heisman....it was there for the taking.

Murray? Jury still out, but we'll see. He will be in top 5 preseason in Heisan watch. But do you think he would be returning if Georgia was ranked as low as LSU in offense....the answer is NO, at that point the NFL would be a better route.

Barrett? Yes he did. The BCSNCG was like a 3 hr paid advertisement for him.

But again, you are missing the point, kinda. What I'm saying is they had very good reason for staying. Can you say the same today about an LSU offensive player?

And yes, I should have stipulated offensive guys in general although a defensive guy "could" be as turned off by the offense as well knowing it hurts LSU's chances if it doesn't improve.

So why aren't offensive players transferring? If everyone is so unhappy there are other ways to leave the program other than the draft...

he certainly had a terrific game and season, that's for sure; however, he was a unanimous all american the 2011 outland trophy winner. i honestly don't remember what the projections were had he gone pro last year, but the last 5 outland trophy winners before him all went in the first round.
