Saban changed the way LSU fans looked at themselves and even gave their old ways a name — “catastrophe syndrome.”

Saban couldn't have been more right about the "catastrophe syndrome". Flip though a few threads on here and it's obvious.

quote:Now it is clear that the other side of that same coin is not named yet, but I'll call it the "Complacency Syndrome" in honor of a coach who sees (or admits) no real problem with the offensive coaching & schemes, the lack of QB development, and the general malaise rooted in LSU's offensive performances these past 5 years (give or take). The "Complacency Syndrome" is rampant among the sunshine pumping ranters here, who can accept nothing that might rock their happy little boat or hold CLM accountable.

Did the players leave, some of them, all of them, none of them - because of the money? Or because they saw LSU had taken them as far as they could go under CLM's coaching? That seems to be the burning question among the catastrophe people and the complacency people here.
But since we can't get inside any of the players' heads and know for sure why, this is material for speculation on either side of the question.
And thus fair game for the Rant.
