It would have been the same for a couple of years, but not for seven freaking years!
You have to stop telling yourself that every open job is something he is interested in. He has the best job in college football right now. He claims he learned about himself when he went to the NFL - learned that he is a college coach. He didn't have that self awareness when he left LSU.

Actually he praised the fan during the trophy presentation, post-game press conference, press conference the day after, and on the tarmac at the airport in Tuscaloosa. But carry on.

1st Championship - after beating texas
1:46 mark begins talking about fans.
2nd Championship - After beating LSU 21-0
2:33 mark. Fans mentioned before, players, coaches, Mal, administration, etc. Mentioned fans twice within about 15 seconds.
3rd Championship - After beating Notre Dame
Talks about fans at approx. 1 minute mark
