You can re-download games as it is now from Xbox live. i do not see this being an issue. i bought a new 360 and all i had to do is log into my Xbox live account and all the games I had downloaded previously all i had to do was download again. No charge.

In theory I love digital distribution, but what happens when/if ISP data caps start tightening up. Games that have multiple platform developments have hovered around the DVD data capacity, but aren't both next-gen consoles rumored to have Blu-ray (perhaps meaning much larger game files)? I love the Witcher 2 but having to download a 16GB game and then two subsequent 9GB patches within a month is just stupid, I don't look forward to that with mediocre high-speed internet options.

Uninstall games you don't play, I have a 1tb hd and a 240 gig ssd and I have about 120 games installed with about 200 gigs of space left.

Or have it to where you can buy new hard drives that are easily interchangeable with the system. Just have the hard drive plug into a slot, similar to how game cartridges worked.

It usually takes 10-15 minutes to download a game.

It ain't gonna take 10 to 15 when you are dealing with a game that fits on a BluRay

Other than Planetside 2 beta, I haven't dabbled in MMOs since EVE. I know they are ridiculous though

Only if the price isn't still 59.99 like most games still are on Xbox live. If you make the games back down to say 39.99 available via digital download, that would be pretty great.

No chance in hell. There might be a small discount ($5 tops), but MS is far too hungry. Look at what they already offer and its full retail price.

Sony is doing it right with the Vita by offering $4-5 off the digital versions (which do launch day and date with the retail version).

Will never happen.

Games are already too big and only getting bigger. like it has been said already....bandwidth caps from ISPs will make this impossible.

Even if they don't cap your bandwidth, you are talking about games that will be upward of 25 GB possible and more with newer versions of Blu Ray expected to be on the new consoles.

What kind of caps do you people have? I have never even approached mine and I use the hell out of it.

Well not even so much now, but in the future. ISPs are moving in this direction.

But if you are going to download a game normally meant for BluRay with next gen graphics you are going to be wasting a lot data on just downlaoding a game.

BluRay are 25GB capacity I believe now, and the newer versions are going to me bigger.
