Would a title run over Manning and Rodgers cement his as the GOAT?

We haven't had a good Brady/Manning debate in awhile.

Rodgers isn't in the convo with the other two in terms of career achievements.

Why does this bullshite start every fricking time Brady makes the playoffs?

And then when he loses it magically stops -- why? Do a few seconds at the end of a SB make all the difference?

Not even close. Cannot hold a candle to Peyton Manning.

A 4th Super Bowl victory would sort of make it a difficult argument to make against him.

As an individual, his raw counting stats are already at the level where you can only put four or five guys in the same conversation without looking silly-- and those other guys (Marino, Manning, Tarkenton, Favre, and Brees) combine to have fewer titles than Brady.

Throw in that the guy was one made miracle catch, and one missed pass away from winning 2 more Super Bowls, and it's really hard to say anything else, without seeming silly.

You would think it was Tennis and he is out there by himself. Fact is he has probably the best coach in NFL history and only won championships when he had a top 5 defense carrying the team. Brady is good, but put Peyton on that team the last 12 years, and they win at least 6 championships.

David Tyree makes crazy catch, no GOAT status for Brady.

David Tyree drops catch, Brady becomes the greatest of all eternity

How could you make a list like that and leave off the real GOAT?

Nah. It's just taking a little longer to cement it, because of quarterbacks being tied to championships.

Eventually the weight of numbers and success will overwhelm the arguments against it.

Because the reference talks about the counting stats that are associated with QB play-- and they all left Montana in the dust ages ago.

Why would this be anchored? Only lame college football threads allowed tonight?

Anybody who includes Tarkenton in this list should be in a straitjacket

And why isn't Bradshaw on it? He has four titles. And why is Marino on it all? He has no rings. If he has one would he be the GOAT? Two? How does the GOAT math work?
