at the beginning of this year, i felt that we had to break in too many starters to have a run at the nc but i felt that we would be much more experienced and improved in 2013. unfortunately, i never envisioned a mass exedous from our junior class. sure, we will have a lot of talent on the team but i don't buy the "just reload" theory. experience and leadership (along with a break or two) is essential to win the SEC and an NC. i hate to be negative nellie but i am forecasting a nine or ten win season next year, esp since i don't think we have a real leader at qb.

When a team loses 10--11 contributors , yes it's a rebuilding year.

It blows my mind that many are leaving.
Unheard of.

This is LSU who under Miles has recruited at a high level for some time now. Its not like these guys haven't played a down of college football. The defense will be fine.

not necessarily. You have a lot of guys returning that played a lot last year. This isn't soccer or baseball where guys can't come back in if they are subed out. We will be lacking depth on the DL and that's about it.

2011 was a great example of reloading with young guys stepping up. Most of our studs were sophomores including all these guys who are declaring this year as well as TM7 and Faulk.

8&4 if we are extremely lucky! Losing our Defense & no Offense is going to make for a long season!

Not sure if serious. Now, excuse me, I have another MNC to win tonight.

Sincerely,

I'm looking forward to next year because we have so many question marks. There is excitement in watching new college athletes step up and become really good football players. Our coaching staff puts each player in a great position to perform at the highest level.
I don't see any time from the SEC being dominant next year. But who knows, if one team gets on a roll you never know. It just might be South Carolina!

10 win seasons are easy to come by these days. That is what I learned in my time here.

Bama lost that many last year, and they're playing for their second consecutive NC. I guess only Bama can do that. If only we had a better coach.

We really have terrible fans.

It is going to be a challenge...the offense needs to do its part or we could go 8-4. If Mett steps up I smell another 10 win season but no NC!

Bama lost 10 underclass man plus the departing srs?

I don't think any team in college football history has ever had this big of turnover.

You're forgetting the 1990 Texas State University Fightin' Armadillos.

Ten wins aren't easy. We could have easily been 8-4 this year instead.

Unfortunately, if you are LSU, 10 wins get you a chance to lose to a very average ACC team in the CFA bowl.

Win the day! Everyday!

9-10 win next year would mean Les Miles coached his socks off! We will likely have 5 losses realistically.

Yes in the 90s 10 wins was great. They only played 11
