re: Sensa--worth it or set a wad of $ afire?

Are you taking it?

No

it's phentermine, half of fen-phen, along with an anti epileptic med that may cause reduced appetite

Almost there.

It is Adipex and Topomax at lower doses...much lower doses.

Phenterimine hits receptor to suppress the appitite while the toperimate hits the receptor foe sense of fullness or fullfillment.

phentermine and topiramate

Are the active ingrediates in Sensa -- basically you're getting a wanna-be amphetamine and a mood stabilizer (well, anti-convulsant too). Topamax has been shown to lose weight for people. I think it alters taste too.

Sounds like it would work well.

The best thing to prescribe for weight loss would be Vyvanse or Adderall, for sure.

Cut out fast food, cokes, bread and other bad carbs and weight will fall off.

This. Increase vegetables, lean protein, and not-so-sugary fruits, decrease sugary deserts, snacks and soft drinks.

Add in 60 minutes of cardio a day and you should see a difference.

This. And my dad and mom say, it's not a diet. It's a lifestyle change. If you think if it any other way it won't last.

So, with the indications you posted, where do you get one has to be 60 pounds overweight to take it?

Also, on has to have at least one co morbidity and bmi of 27 to take it.

Here is what i did a few months back and am starting again tommorow. I am a Diet Coke addict so i kept that as my vise. But i cut out anything and everything bread. Had a protein bar in the morning. A handful of Almond slivers at about 2 hours later, lunch was normally a teaspoon of peanut butter on a low carb wrap. For dinner i would have chicken breast or a dish made with ground turkey along with alot of green vegtables. Now i changed it up a bit and had different things we would use as cheat snacks, but ended up dropping about 40 lbs in 2 months. The first week of carb withdrawls is hell but once you get into ketosis its alot easier.

Search the internet for low carb meals and snack and add green vegies.

One of our cheat meals would be to take a mission low carb wrap, toast it in the oven for just a min or two and make a pizza out of it, but you have to limit the ammount of pizza sauce you use.

I tried to limit myself to 15 or 20 carbs a day and didn't work out and the weight fell off after about 2 weeks.
