With Luck losing today.

Wilson should get it if he wins today, and RG3 should if he wins IMO.

Redskins have won 7 straight, plus division after starting 3-6. Seahawks are the hottest team in football and have won 5 straight.

Regardless of who wins though, this has been the year of the rookie QB.

9 win improvement with no running game or defense?

Luck should win but RGIII is just as deserving. Wilson has been up and down especially on the road. And Seahawks and Redskins have pretty good defenses.

The one knock I have with Luck is that he turned it over way more than Wilson and RG3, plus took too many unnecessary hits.

People say RG3 and Wilson are at risk because of their styles of play, but Luck took quite a bit of unnecessary punishment as well. Holds on too the ball a little too much.

Honestly, this is nitpicking, but thats why IMO the award should go to whoever's team wins in Washington today.

Didn't they vote prior to week 17?

Luck is playing with five other rookies on offense. He has to force it. 7 comeback wins is impressive.

RG3 is playing with one of the worst WR cores in the NFL...

Drops frenzy, plus also playing with rookie RB. Washington also has one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL.

Still 7 straight wins.

Just as impressive IMO.

Why not? Is it the Rookie of the Regular Season Award?

Whoever wins this game will win the ROTY as they should.

The award, like all of the season awards, was voted on prior to the playoffs.

This is just stupid IMO.

Same with the MVP.

Should take the ENTIRE season, including playoffs, into account.

People have said this for years. I doubt it ever changes. Same could be said for Heisman Trophy.

He does not have the luxury of a good running game or a good defense. More is on his shoulders and he's performed.

Don't get me wrong, they've all played great.
