Never read it. I ordered it weeks ago. Everyone knows more about it than me. I've read where it's impossible to make a movie.

Would the people who read the book prefer it just not be touched or do you think it could possibly be done right via movie or mini series?

Mini series could be cool if done right but too many loyalists and fanboys would hate it.

I think I'd prefer it not be touched with how disjointed The Hobbit part 1 is.
But maybe if you could get a different director that you can actually say "NO THAT IDEA SUCKS TIGHTEN IT UP OR GTFO" to would fix the issues.

Now I haven't read it but from what I hear it would be hard to make. That being said, could they not make another billion dollar trilogy out of it?
