The S&W is a high quality gun. Of course, with all of these the trigger pull is heavy, but that is the safety. Any shooting will be done at close range lessing the importance of the trigger pull. You certainly don't want it hanging on something and going off.

That's for sure. I was reading some reviews last night and was suprised how many people don't like a magazine saftey. Started to begin a thread here to get the pulse from the people here cause I put a lot of stock in what I read from many of our posters here- just as you just made a valid point.
