Are you wanting to get rid of the worthless Constitution as well as take all weapons?

Strawman....

Is it?
If our soldiers would have laid down their weapons in any of the major wars, what do you think this country would look like right now? Do you think you would have ANY of the rights you have right now?
Why would you want to take away what those soldiers died for? People have killed each other since the dawn of time and will continue to do so no matter what tool is available to them.

solidly based on the bible, a book that makes the Constitution look like a comic strip.

quote:

Peter 2:13 "Submit yourself to every ordinance of man"

Will you now stand up for our right to bear arms? The Constitution is the law of the land. It created upon its ratification three branches of government and gave to the people the power to control them. This comic strip was written explicitly to limit the power of the government and outline certain inalienable rights of the populace as the true rulers of this country. Any attempts to infringe upon these rights, by civilians military or politicians alike, are unconstitutional, therefore illegal.

I have no issue with this.

Neither do I . You don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

If we banned alcohol and cars, there'd be no more DWI deaths. If the government forced us to run 5 miles a day, there'd be fewer health related deaths. We can go on and on. The truth of the matter is ... " shite happens". We don't want it to, but it does. All I can do is pray that it doesn't happen to me. And, if it does, pray for healing. But, it is very selfish to say "take all the guns away from virtuous and righteous people because of my one child!"

quote:

Well I'll answer it for you: Their lives are of equal value. However, one chose to bear arms in the theater of war, and chose to put himself in harm's way WITH an opportunity to defend himself. It is absurd to compare an innocent 5 year old's murder to a grown man's. Does this make the Afghan rebel more evil than Adam Lanza?

did they all choose ethan? or were some chosen?

The only people that shouldn't be allowed to own weapons are

1. Convicted Felons
2. People diagnosed with a mental disease
3. Obama voters

He and his friends are going after the Constitution itself to negate it totally, they truly want an America with an emperor for life.

Or are you just intentionally being a demagogue?

You mean like WWI? That was a pretty major war and I don't think we'd be much different - except we probably wouldn't have had to fight in WWII.

Or WWII? If we had failed at Normandy, western Europe would've been socialist - oh, wait a minute...

If we had pulled out of the Pacific theatre, say losing Guadalcanal and losing the Enterprise and Hornet as well as the Yorktown at Midway, we'd probably be driving around in Japanese cars while our own manufacturing industries turned into a rust belt - oh, wait a minute...

Korea? It depends on when we quit. Right at the start? There would be a Korea united under the dictatorship of the proletariat. Any other time and we'd probably see a Korea split at the 38th parallel - oh, wait...

Vietnam? What if we had pulled out of Vietnam... I bet we'd have lost all of our rights as protected by the Constitution - oh, wait a minute...

What if our soldiers had laid down their weapons in Iraq and refused to fight? What do YOU think would've happened to our rights?
