I picked up some at Academy this week, $30 for 50 count boxes. Apparently they get a few cases every morning and sell out quickly.

I also bought some online at Cabela's this week, 420 rounds for $195. They sold out in 15 minutes or less.

I am personal friends with the head of Federal Law Enforcement Sales. I had lunch with him two weeks ago. He told me that if a large law enforcement agency placed its yearly order today, often millions of rounds, the order would be filled in anywhere from 6 months to a year. It will take several years for supply to catch back up. Supplies will deplete over time and prices will continue at current levels or higher. To illustrate this most State Contracts concerning ammunition have been voided by the manufacturers after 2/28/12.

I'm depressed about the lack of ammo. I went by academy and they have moved all the "in demand" ammo to customer service to control the rationing.

I got my 1460 rounds of 5.56 in from Cabelas last night. Looking for where to list it and for how much.

I e-mailed that CL ad about $450 a case. I got the same case from Cabela's for $200 but that's all the ammo I have for my rifle. Ad says or best offer so I'm hoping he'll come down some. It probably won't be enough though. Yall think anyone will give him $450 for it?
