I love LSU as much as the next guy. I get upset after losses and overjoyed after wins. But some of you make it sound like a death in the family. I want the program to do well but at the end of the day it's a game. Too many of you let it affect your everyday lives. Root on the tigers and scream at the top of your lungs, but after it's over, it's over. Move on.

An ice cream cup with a photo of Erin Andrews on the side of it would go a long way toward healing my broken heart.

You are correct Sir

Here's something some folks don't want to hear. Like many fans, I hope Miles hires a real OC. But at the same time I can put the big picture in perspective. Miles' record at LSU speaks for itself. What some people don't want to hear is that the players reflect the fanbase. The fanbase didn't care about the CF Bowl, guess what, neither did the players. As long as I've been an LSU fan, LSU does best in the underdog role, when it feels it has something to prove. What MILES has to deal w/ is that mentality -- motivating his players to play well each and every game b/c THEY are LSU, not b/c of the opponent they're playing. In other words, MILES is hampered by YOU idiots.

Yep. I'm glad to see this getting around. This
manic-dramatic fan shite is getting old. I hope I don't lapse back into that when I'm middle-aged and bored.

Posters telling other people how they need to be should re-evaluate their lives.

Well, I guess the Independence Bowl isn't that far of a drive, so there's that...

What's happening is people with crappy lives are using LSU's football success to determine their sense of self worth. I used to think this was more prevalent in Gumps, but now I'm seeing it in our own fan base. They think LSU winning , makes their wife look better or their trailer in to a double wide.

It's more upsetting come here to talk LSU football and having to endure these classless, witless drones.
Great post...

Agreed

It is easier to stay humble in victory, than it is to stay honorable in defeat. This is where one's character is defined.

I agree it's taken way too seriously. The reason these coaches get paid an insane amount of money to coach a game is because of the off the charts interest in college football. You can't have it both ways. Either people are interested and coaches get paid a lot or people are indifferent and coaches get paid like teachers.
