re: What exactly is Shep saying? (Posted on 1/5/13 at 5:18 am to shoelessjoe)
Seems to me back on Sr. Day he was saying LSU was in his blood...and he wanted playing at LSU to be a family tradition...his grandkids would play at LSU and it's a great place.
He may be frustrated now, but fact is that he was an excellent athlete in HS, but at the elite college level he is not the standout he was in HS.
He has represented LSU well for the most part and I'm glad he came here, but I don't think Miles squandered his talent. They gave him every opportunity....but we have better players at every position he could play.
QB -JJ, JL, and Mett
RB - Ridley, Hill, Hilliard, Ware etc.
WR - past NFL draft picks and current players
KR - TH, Ford, Tyrann M., PP7
PR - TH, PP7, Tyrann M., OBJ
RS was not squandered he was just surpassed by even better athletes as hard as that is for him and some other people to accept. And its mostly other people because RS really has not been outspoken about lack of pt overall....because he knows the truth...the coaches ARE playing the best players.
