@BHOOLZ @tonygrossi says "I think it's all over. Barring a setback to the Browns, Chip Kelly is the next coach."

I find it funny that the Bama fans are the ones constantly posting all of the potential Browns hires. Insecure?

@MaryKayCabot
NFL Network's @AlbertBreer says word in league is #Browns "are prepared to open the vault for Chip Kelly.''

I just can't see Chip being successful at the next level. He hasn't won a BCS title while at Oregon and his offensive scheme will not hold up in the NFL.

Where does the need to have Chip derive from?

He has said he will not run the same offense in the pros.

He still needs to make big changes to his offense though. If his hurry-up offense struggled against the likes of Boise State, Ohio State, Auburn, and LSU, what makes people think it will be successful against the Steelers and Ravens?

Patriots run a hurry-up offense. Seems to work pretty well for them.

It will be tweaked, but it will be very similar. Why hire kelly to do something he doesn't do? You hire him to run a very fast paced offense that puts pressure on the D and gives you opportunities for explosive plays. He may not run his QB as much (throw off the read option instead of QB run), but it will be very similar I'm sure.

Oregon didn't lose to those teams because of the hurry up. He went into the boise state game with 5 new olinemen (BSU had a plethora of DL talent in that game) and 3 new olinemen against LSU.

Why? Kelly can't frick it up much more than it is. Kelly will instill a direction in that organization.
