Maybe I missed the details, but I've always thought that Goodell was basically saying, take your medicine and let this all get behind us. That's the exact opposite of what happened (even if the franchise didn't play a part in that).
We're not getting the pick back IMO.

In my opinion, the NFL can keep its frickin 2 round pick. I wouldn't want that A-hole Goodell doing us any favors anyway. Are they freakin serious with this shite? What is this league coming to? The Saints have developed into one of the strongest org in the NFL in these last 6 years with everything they and especially their fans have had to overcome and guess what? They'll overcome this farce too just like they've overcome everything else and the Saints org, mgmt and coaches have all done what was expected of them anyway so I say F Goodell. Tell him he can take that 2 round pick and shove it right up his poop shooter and that's my only reason.

Yeah. Lets give up on a possible 2nd round player who could be of all-pro potential and help us to the Super bowl 
I hate Roger more than I care to say but would grovel to get that pic back. Its a possible starter and impact pic that will cost little for four years.

none of that matters. Sean Payton is being punished for things HE supposedly did. Drew Brees, Joe Vitt, and Micky Loomis could get caught on video burning goodells house down and it would/should have no bearing on Sean Payton's status.

I am praying we get our #2 back. We need it bad to build our defense. Goddell said that he didn't want to create a competitive disadvantage for the Saints when he handed down the punishment. Well um, he created that disadvantage in spades with what he did to our team this year. He is a petty bitch, and I am sure that his little dictator feelings are hurt by the ultimate conclusion to this debacle he created. I am hoping and praying to get that pick back, but I am not holding my breathe. Without question, we deserve to have it given back to us. We should never have lost it in the 1st place.
1 last point. If they do give our #2 back, we should not have to give up any other picks to get it. That is bull shite. We should get it back, and that be the end of it. We already paid a price by losing our #2 last year, and the fact that we got punished over a bunch of unsubstantiated bull shite is reason enough for us not to forfeit anything farther.
