My whole life really. Started making biscuits and eggs when I was about 10, and always followed my mom and dad around the kitchen.
After high school, I started cooking at a bar and grill, then moved to various different restaurants over the next 5 years or so, cooking everything from fried bar food to pizzas to running the line at a seafood and pasta type place.
I was going to go to culinary school, but then started bartending instead. Then decided it was a good idea to get a straight job.
Now, I am the weekend cook for the family.
