Are .22 tactical rifles hard to find as well?

Like the ARs? Are people buying those things up like crazy? I have really only been following AKs/ARs. If the same is going to tactical .22s, I may look into selling my never fired Mossberg Tactical .22

I saw 2 S&W AR-22s at Bass Pro well into the frenzy. I also saw a Colt at Gonzales Walmart after the frenzy started.

north texas stores still have plenty. $400-$800. cheaper-than-dirt's wall is reloaded with all AR's but the AR-223's are starting at $1500. that's $800 higher than they were the 2nd week of december.

I had a 10/22 tact mod with a red dot scope and multiple clips, but I lost it when my boat sank.

Snagged up an M&P 15-22 the other day at academy in Houston. While I was looking at it about 30 people gathered around me like I found the holy grail wanting to touch it try it buy it hump it. I bought it for my wife to shoot.

Before the frenzy I purchased a GSG fully loaded with all the frills. I noticed it went up around 200 bucks since.

You may be able to find the guns, but good luck finding mags. Can't find mags anywhere for M&P 15-22. I called Smith and Wesson directly and they said that they will be backordered for some time.

As has been stated....they are not impossible to find but they are harder to find than they should be. To answer the original question....yes, people are buying them up at a higher rate because if they band ARs, it seems that it would be a band against the style of the gun and not the caliber of the gun.
AR22's are a ton of fun. Obviously they are no substitute for a 223 model but original purchase price and bullet price is great.

Buy a ruger 10/22 and an Archangel replacement stock. Bass Pro had both the last time I was in there.

I thought they stopped making these and H&K took over after a law suit or something?
I'm perfectly happy with my 10/22, but I would have bought a GSG-5 way before I would buy a AR-.22
