Reid is confusing for me. He has his degree and that makes me think he should leave, BUT he is worse at angles than L. Landry and that is saying something.

Reid and Simon, if the rumors are true, are the biggest head scratchers because they both could benefit from another year with Chief and better techniques/angles

Reid is gone IMO, he's a projected late 1st / early 2nd and NFL rookie contracts are not as top heavy as the used to be.

He would be foolish to stay.

However, Simon is still a question mark.

Reid got worse between last year and this year, whose to say he doesn't get worse again with another year? His stock isn't getting any higher and it could go lower staying another year. Simon definitely needs the extra seasoning though.

I agree Hugo. I have always felt Ford is a good NFL candidate. He can catch, he has speed, strength and intelligence. I could see him have a long career. He may not be a HOFer but could be a pretty solid player.

If any of u think our offense is going to carry any one u are crazy. We either don't have any coach including Les that has a clue how to run an offense! Lsu is loaded with talent that most teams would finish in the top 5 every year, but as long as we cannot learn how to coach the offense we will never have a better record. We will hang around the top 10 but not in the BCS.

I think someone said a couple of weeks ago that Simon has kids. He could use the money. No shame in that. He can improve while being coached by the best in the world in the NFL.

This is absolutely true. LSU was #3 before championship weekend in 2003. Somehow the Oklahoma loss boosted us to 2. 2009, can't take an undefeated year away from him. Last year- mulligan for loss at home. This season, the right teams lost at the right time (many of them in huge upsets) for him to get back into it. So he had one season where he didn't need a lot of outside help to make it.

re: Underclassmen decisions (Posted on 1/3/13 at 9:43 p.m. to tjtiger9) Dear Michael Ford: If you leave now, you will not get drafted. If you made a practice squad, I'd be shocked. Tell you what, if you ever become a roster player for two full seasons in the NFL, you can have my first born child. If you stay though, you never know, maybe Hill, Blue, Hilliard, and Ware (if he stays) ride together in a car which is struck by lightning and goes up in flames. And voila. You're now the featured back with an outside shot of getting selected in 2014. Point is: go with he odds and enjoy playing football while you can.

If that post doesnt confirm this guy being a complete idiot. Him being a Texas fan confirms completely ... GTFO with that stuff douche

I had the local sports on TV last night and was only half listening to what Cauble was saying but I thought I heard him say Minter is only projected to be a late 2nd or early 3rd round draft choice. Can that by right?

That's where most have him projected going as of right now. I saw one that had him going to the Ravens in the 2rd (58th overall).

ETA: Late 2nd

LB is not the focus for most NFL teams this draft. As usual, OL, RB, WR & Db's will get the most attention.
