Not trying to rag on the guy, but do yall really think he is a first round safety??

I really don't know if he is better than Curtis Taylor

I am not trying to negative for the sake of it, I am mean I like what he brings to the table, and like the guy as far as I can conclude....

But 1rst round?

And nothing to do with Clemson game, I have said this to peopel I know all season

Clemson was his best game of the year imo. He was violent. That said, NO to answer your question but thats just me. He's a physical specimen so Im sure NFL teams see things we dont such as potential.

Last season, YES....this season, not so much...he had a horrible 2012 season. He is a really good guy and a good prospect but I personally think Claiborne, Taylor, and TM7 helped him out a bunch last season which enabled him to roam and make more plays.

He'll test out of his mind at the combine. He's a physical freak and will most likely run in the low 4.5s. If he can get to a 4.4 it's a no-brainer. NFL scouts and coaches are some of the cockiest people on the planet. They've never seen a physical freak they couldn't coach up.

He will light up the combine, which could push him into round 1. I think Reid is better than the way he played this yr, but not a first rounder.

He's behind Elam and vaccarro. Reid might slide to the second round imo

Roman Harper Jr.

Excellent in Run support.

A liability in pass coverage.

I'd be interested to see how he turns his hips (no homo) at the combine. He's a bad arse dude and a quality person. I'm not sure how he's going to test out in the combine on those coverage drills.

He'll have much better support cast at the next level. He was trying to cover too much to make up for other guys out of position

I can't see a team using a 1st rd pick on him. His biggest asset is hard-hitting run support. When teams need help in run support, they draft in the front 7, not a safety.

I personally think he is better than Curtis Taylor. I also think his best football is ahead of him which is why I feel he is a 1st rounder. Reid is much smarter than Peterson, Claiborne, and almost any defensive player LSU has had in a very long time. He won't score a 7 on the Wonderlic. Reid played hurt and IMO he was trying to do too hard (over compensating) sometimes this year.

The big knock on reid by scouts has been he doesn't turn his hips very fluidly in coverage and that's a big deal in the NFL. Great run support guy but sometimes takes bad angles and waits too late to turn his hips and run with receivers. I think he would benefit by coming back for his senior year to work on these things and raise his stock.

He's a poor man's Laron Landry with better ball skills.

As everyone has said, his measurables alone are draft worthy, but I saw the same guy this season that I saw as a freshman.

He's going to need the right system to utilize his skills, and I'm not sure it exists. Watching average receivers and lesser QB's take advantage of him makes me wonder if his lack of instincts can be compensated.

If anyone cared to actually tally the times he's been caught out of position, or missed tackles without using his arms, this board would be shocked. There were several occasions this season that he got burned deep, and the opposing QB threw Mettenbergers.

He is 2nd team All American and All SEC. I have not seen a board where he isn't ranked the number 1 safety coming out and this is before the combine. He will destroy the combine, he will be the first safety taken period.
