What was the murder rate in that town? Seems like every time I catch it on tv someone is getting knocked off.

Really. For what seemed like a very small town, they sure had a lot of murders. But, good thing they had Tibbs and Bubba to handle bidness.

Cabot Cove. Jessica was a serial killer.

But if I had to guess, Sparta and Cabot Cove both had somewhere between 24 and 30 murders a year.

I loved in the heat of the night. It took a little while to get used to archie bunker as a police chief but I watched it for years. Jump the shark moment when gillespe and the council woman hooked up?

Yeah it headed downhill after that. I liked it better when Gillespie was chief instead of Apollo Creed.

Chief Gillespie is a great character

Howard Rollins was also awesome in this show until he went Crazy in real life
