I'd think the ditches along old Hwy 51 (the non elevated road that parallels I-55) would be prime crawfishing territory once the water warms up. Along the highway is part of the public right of way (belongs to the state), so I think you're fine to crawfish from the banks. Now, getting in a pirogue and poking around is another story--
