It would shock me if he ends up at LSU. He is a bad fit for a Les Miles offense. Michael Ford is an undersized back in a Les Miles offense and he is in the 205lb range. Les likes them at least 6'0" and 225lbs plus. Les doesn't know what to do with smaller backs. These smaller backs like Palelei can be dangerous but have to be used properly. I have seen Palelei in person and he is around 5'8" to 5'9" and around 180-185 no matter what the programs says. For this kid's sake I hope he plays in a more wide open offense where he can be used properly.
Ford is not small. He is a 215 pounder who runs up the middle like a 200 pound back. Mark Ingram is around the same size as Ford and would've been a perfect fit in the LSU system because he is a 215 pounder who ran like a 230 pound RB at Bama. If Palelei proves that he is not afraid to play big, he will fit in.

Definitely not scared to " play big." In my opinion, he brings what Ford lacks, the ability to make people miss. Ford has to stop to change directions. Palelei would be a special teams killer, also.

Williams doesn't have anything on this guy...

Agree, from what I've seen, the kid is good. 4.3ish speed with the toughness. Les has to love how he finishes plays, and his hands out of the backfield...Can't pass on this kid IMO.

He looks pretty good. SO either LSU or Utah schools?

I'd still take Williams as the second back based on his size.

6'1 210 vs 5'10 200? I would be willing to bet Palelei is stronger.

BYU and Utah pull at his heart strings a little with cousins playing at each, the Family wants to stay here, but 17 FBS Schools are after him.

This is the bottom line IMO. He's too good to pass up. If we have the opportunity, there's no question (in my mind) that he's a take.

That kid was made to run the inside draw. And what a headhunter on special teams...

Wow. I had heard of this guy from the recruiting board, but never seen any tape before now. Palelei can flat out fly. I say take both him and Darrell Williams, assuming we get Leonard Fournette first, of course. We need to take 2 to 3 running backs anyway, right?

That's a good point b/c this dude was cutting on a dime without losing an bit of speed. IMO the dude is a beast.... Whoever said that there was no comparison between SP and MF was right. At first I thought he was just a spread back but a little further in the video SP showed he could be an I-Back as well. IMO SP can serve two purposes at LSU. He can definitely be a complimentary (or change of pace back) to LF and still be the 3rd down situational back out of the spread.

I've said all along I want us to take 3 RB's in this class. Give me LF, Darrel Williams, and Palelei and lets go get us a national championship with them leading the way. They would all help out one another tremendously.

Stephen ridley but faster, this kid is a physical freak with sprinter speed and great lateral movement. His film doesnt even do him justice. His team was shitty and he still dominates
