calling choupiquesushi: can you really eat choupique raw?

i swear i can't go bass fishing without picking up a couple of those big nasties. tried to clean one last yr that sat on ice for a day and the flesh was like peanut butter, wouldn't even hold together if you picked it up...

anyway i'd love to hear that there's a good way to eat them. i seem to recall reading a post that you can eat them raw. are there no parasites in them? i thought freshwater fish were a no-no for eating raw.

Why bother when there are so many other delicious fish out there? I love to catch them, but just release.

Choupique do taste pretty good the trick is after they are caught they must be cleaned while alive or the meat does get all soggy, deep fry just like any other fish add a chopped onion in the grease. results are good IMO.

You have to keep them alive.
