that's some shite to be playing better the second half of district but still not getting a W from it...
i'm impressed that we're still around 35th... a BM loss won't hurt our rating that much since they've won so many, and beating GK again won't quite hurt us
maybe some teams around us fall, our previous opponents win, and at West Jeff Monday night is a de facto state playoff game. If we're playing better I'd give us a enough of a chance to win... they might be able to win district or a share thereof by beating us though

Don't forget that the last day of play is on Monday, not Tuesday (due to Mardi Gras) and we (B.M.) play at Carrollton and Banks in the afternoon. Frosh game begins at 11:00 a.m.
Same time as the B.M. vs. Catholic High footie match at Pan American in the state playoffs.

your thoughts 31?
West Jeff might be the first public school to win Catholic League in anything in 30 years... I know we won it in basketball back in the 80s when we went to the top 24...

Chalmette spoils the party for West Jeff and hands the district to Jesuit...
along the way the Owls may have clinched their first playoff berth in the highest classification in 30 years
we'll see when the power ratings come out and the brackets are revealed, but beating 18 win West Jeff should be enough to leapfrog Slidell and Bonnabel (whose seasons are complete); and also Southwood and West Monroe, who play weaklings for their final games of the season
