I dont know how old you are but as I have gotten older the "hurt" that occurs after an LSU loss has disappeared. At some point you realize you are getting upset over the actions of teenagers that you have absolutely no control and multimillionaire coaches - again - thay you have no control over. So why invest so much emotion? I just go to the games and if we win - cool. If not, oh well, maybe next time. Hopefully Miles will adapt. Thats all we can do is hope.
Geaux LSU!

After that, I need to focus on getting my house back in tip top shape. Might build a pond in the backyard come spring.

I have also made the money saving decision to stop going to LSU games as long as the status quo holds.

Just wish I'd made that decision before yesterday's disgrace.

I'm done too. No more PPV, no more buying crap like shirts and hats and all that other nonsense. No more wasting Saturdays during hunting season watching nerve wracking, poorly coached games where we squeak by on talent in spite of our coaching. I am sick of it.

I'm actually looking at an above/below groung pond. Dig it 3feet into the ground, use timber to raise it 3 feet above the ground; problem solved.

Yep.

Came on in 2009 after the Malleveto debacle of the previous year.

My family and I went to all the games from the early 70's on. Struggled thru the really crappy years, tailgated like there was no tomorrow. Sometimes spending a $1,000 or more on a weekends worth of food to feed people including some of the visitors. We traveled to the away games like Washington, all the bowl games etc...

We stopped only recently because it became heartbreaking. Sure people will call me a negatiger but it's one thing to get your arse kicked by a better team and it's another to be on the wrong side of a bonehead call or series. Ever notice how often LSU is on the wrong side of those compared to the other teams we play?

It's like having an employee that gets all their work done by noon everyday and better than every other employee you have, but then once a month he does something that gets you sued.

We were leaving too many games with the focus being entirely on the coach and the decisions the staff made rather than the "team" if that makes any sense.

Now we just mainly make the home baseball games (been going steady since about 1990) where it's much more relaxing.

Either way I'm sure the second we didn't pick up our tickets someone else was in line to take them.

My dad did have a talk with the associate AD at LSU when we decided we were no longer renewing our tickets (talk was specifically about us not renewing, just casual conversation) and he basically said "at least it's not like Hallma, and we could go back to the Charlie Mac days". That really chapped my dads arse.

Should be a whole lot of tickets for sale on the ticket exchange for 2013 that's for sure. I for one am considering transferring my tickets or just putting them all up for sale rather than continue to watch this debacle of back to back bowl losses. I was thinking about going to my 1st recruiting bash this year, but I too will pass and not waste my hard earned money on that event or the spring game either.

Nice. I like this idea:

Share what you plan on spending your money on.

I'll go next:

The overall plan is a college fund. My kid will be in college in 13 years. 13 X 3K a year is going to be close to 40K. That should do it. I hope.

Immediate future, I plan on buying another green egg. Mmmmm. More rib eyes.

Sure! Call me what you will! I don't care!

Adding it up, since 2009 alone, I've spent over 15K on LSU football, plus countless hours going to the games, tailgating, etc.

But yeah, I'm "Fair Weather". I didn't say I was giving up LSU football, I simply said I was giving up PAYING for LSU football when I don't have to.

Besides, you own a jeep. You should use your money for that. You'll need it.

This is the periodic cleansing of the fanbase that we need.
It's also part of ageing.
Let some young, die-hard blood in.
I applaud your decision. Be happy. Be elsewhere. Win-win for everybody.
I suspect that some day four five years from now my kids will be going to all the games in my stead.
My back and vocal cords will thank me.
I'll just pass it down, as my Father did, and then step aside.
