Today is the 40th anniversary of Roberto Clemente's death

Great player, great humanitarian

Glad he got his 3, 000th hit before passing

I've read the stories on the humanitarian work and obviously aware of the baseball skills.

Would've loved to see him play

I, too, wore #21 in honor of Roberto during my high school playing career.

I wanted #21 for college too, but it was taken.

Roberto had the greatest throwing arm in the history of the game, imo.

I still to this day think baseball should retire #21 throughout the MLB to honor Roberto for all he did for Latin ball players.
