It's one guy. The music is kind of experimental, dream pop.

I really liked the two singles released for the upcoming album though. Check them out

Another label picked it up and is re-releasing it as of mid January 2013... However, it was originally released in the summer of 2012, though only on vinyl and digital download (I own both, mainly because I thought I was ordering the CD, but got the vinyl)...

It got my full 15 points in Baloo's 2012 poll for ROY...

I fully expect them to break out in 2013, though...

Yeah, I'm late to the party. Been listening to Light Up Gold the last couple of days and put me down as thinking that it should have been my No. 1 album of 2012. I think we get to count it towards 2013 with the re-release.

Really, that album deserves it's own thread. If you were a fan of any 70-80's punk, this is the homage album.

I've worn it out the past 5 months or so and everytime it comes on, it still gives me energy!! Love that record...

I am for the most part just getting to Light Up Gold as well. Good stuff. I think I will count it as a 2013 release come list time.

Shiny Toy Guns is back to it's original lineup with Carah Faye Charnow back. They're supposedly back in the studio. Would love to see a new album by them out sometime this year.

So last year we had an album release thread with dates and everything and it got sticked, and it was a nice little resource. Can we do that again? I haven't listened to a new album in like a month. My ears be straight up fiending for some of that new new.

Who wants to take the lead? Who has the power to sticky threads around here?

Foxygen- We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of peace & magic
The Men - New Moon
Phosphorescent - Muchacho
Torres - Torres
Waxahatchee - Cerulean Salt

This list is nearly identical to my list of best of 2013 so far. with exception to Torres, and Thee Oh Sees which I haven't listened to yet.

Youth Lagoon and Frightened Rabbit in the place of Torres and Thee Oh Seas and it is pretty much list as well. And I imagine The Knife will be there soon, but I haven't even begun to unpack that beast yet. I would have little clue how to order my list too.
