I'm not going to root for a L,but if it happens, I'm perfectly fine with it. Much like Hornets of last year.

i'm hoping for an L but would be happy with a W. it's a win win situation for me. the L would possibly have greater potential future benefit though

Just like winning 7 of our last 13 games last year screwed our chances at a #1 pick right?

go find where i ever said anything like that. finishing with one of the worst records in the league because a large amount of losses along with lottery luck got us the number 1 pick. the last game against the rockets was one of the most blatantly obvious tank jobs ever though.

also nfl doesn't have lottery so irrelevant comparison is irrelevant

Did anyone ever say what Eric said at the end of the interview?

Actually id rather root for my team than want them to lose. That's probably why they're my team.

Is it an incorrect statement

Yes. If this team is fully healthy and still bottom 5 that's not a good thing at all. I view this season as a throw away so I really don't care about the record but it would be a very good thing for our core pieces to learn how to win together.

i think the saints core knows how to win together and a loss against the panthers in the last game of the season wont change that

a loss gets us a better draft pick. what would you rather a moral victory or a better draft pick. i'm going with the latter

we all aint ballin like you my friend. i'm not saying my philosophy is better or knocking anyone who disagrees with me, unlike those from the other side of the fence. different approaches. i really dont think a victory against carolina today is as beneficial as a loss others may disagree thats ok.

I can't root for a loss, it goes against fundamental principles. Also I don't think management does either because there are no ADs in this draft. I see demps making a few moves this season, maybe our picks for a couple vets. As you all know, when a solid 3 is added to this team we become dangerous.

Pretty much. Look, with a healthy Gordon and these young guys gaining experience over the season, I just don't see the Hornets/Pelicans/Brass(please, God) being having the nearly the same lottery % they had last year.

So, I don't think the tank/not tank argument is as relevant (although those who actively root for losses still remain morally deficient, retard, inbred trailer trash who are not nearly as perceptive or bright as they think they are, and I would still kill them like that little puppy who was hanged and set on fire the other day . . . although he survived . . . I would beat those cocksuckers who did it with a baseball bat . . . sort of like the end of "Casino" in the cornfield . . but maybe I digress).

I hated the last answer in that interview. So easy to tell he doesn't want to be here

I literally cringed when he said that

He's like well I'm stuck here...gotta make the most of it.

Anyone who thought he actually wanted to be here need to read that quote

If you're parsing the guys comments that closely, you should find another hobby. Not meaning to criticize really, but come on man. It would be interesting to make a collection of players similarly situated and see how they sound. You guys should just forget about that nonsense, imo.

i in no way, shape or form support a tank job by the hornets this season. y'all are getting this shite twisted.

I don't see what about his answer makes it 100% clear to you that he wants out.

Nothing in his answer suggested it. Apparently, however, unless he screams I love New Orleans and the Hornets and said he will die here at the top of his lungs, he wants out.
