No, he is not. He was the 10th pick and he isn't halfway through his first season. You can't begin to call him a bust until year 3 at the earliest. Even still, a bust with the 10th pick is not really a bust.

Kobe's rookie year: 7.6 PPG 41.6 FG% 37.5 3PT% Please tell me how much of a bust he was. Obviously if you struggle less than 30 games into your career then you will never be anything in the league.

I agree with your general point, but I think we can put 1+1 together on what a guy will likely be, before year 3. Xavier Henry, for example. He's in year 3 and I think the writing has been the wall for him for a while now. He'll be a guy that has to hang on to stay in the league. He's also had a really similar basketball arc to Rivers. One of the 2 or 3 best players in his HS class. Went to Kansas for one season and like Rviers, somewhat under performed people's expectations. Then was drafted 12th overall. People gave up on him long ago. His own team did. Its why I don't believe for one second, even Rivers' biggest supporters will actually still be giving him slack in year 3. Oh and Aminu's in year 3. He went 8th overall. Do we really need more time to make a determination on him?

Yes. Yes we do. The Chief is doing his own thing in his own time.

So you're saying you don't see more promise in Rivers than in Xavier or Aminu? How many times in either of their careers have they come close to scoring 27 points?

Aminu actually put up about 20 in a half against us when he was with the Clippers. Aminu supposedly had tons of potential with his length and athleticism. Henry was, at the very least, supposed to be a knock down shooter. Thats not my point though. My point is picking and choosing the guys we decide to give up on. Both of those guys are exactly the same players they were as rookies, so the people making early judgements on them would have been right. Yes its way too early to call Rivers a bust, but it doesn't mean those people will be wrong. Im sure Clips and Grizz fans had these same arguments about Aminu and Henry. Sometimes guys don't get better, even 19 year old rookies like Henry.

I can predict whether it will rain March 23, 2013. I could be right. I could be wrong.

I know you intend for logic to be in there somewhere. But here's the problem, bro. You're transposing two separate concepts. One would be emotion or "feeling" about something. The other concept is educated prediction based upon a reasonable set of tested criteria. Although, Malcolm Gladwell has some interesting thoughts on these subjects that throws a monkey wrench in the motherfricker.

Definitely. And fwiw, I think Rivers can be a solid player. But there were really smart people who thought all along that Rivers had serious flaws that would hurt him in the NBA. Chad Ford, for example. According to some, he was just being a hater though.

AD- B-. He's been solid, but he has room to improve AR- Incomplete. He's shown flashes but has no consistency yet.

Looking at AR's stats 7.6 PPG 2.6 AST 2.4 RPG 0.7 SPG 0.7 3PTM Those numbers aren't great but if he plays solid ball down the stretch i think he can come close or break 10 PPG He's better than what he was earlier in the year. Perhaps he'll do better as the spark plug off the bench?

Not if Gordon stays on the court. He'll actually have to find more efficient ways to score...gulp

I think he can be a nice scorer off the bench. That can really help our second unit.
