We are being linked with Wesley Sneijder today by Gazzetta dello Sport (are they reputable?)

Yeah, I would believe their report that the directors are discussing a possible deal. The result or progress of that is still conjecture.

Is Coutinho getting a run of games now? He did well on loan at Espanyol...

Not really. I think he played all their Europa League matches but he's not really figuring much into the first team so far this year.

Serie A can be extreme in either direction for young talents in that it tends reward forwards' "cleverness" to a higher degree than some other top leagues.

Great for young players that grow in that facet of the game but some others, that have great goal totals in other leagues, struggle to net even a few Serie A.

Coutinho is still really young though and the talent, like with Lamela, is plain to see.

Roma are the most entertaining team in the world IMO (I like Dortmund but I don't get GOL anymore so I'm even less informed about the Bundesliga than I usually am).

Barca are of course pretty amazing, but it's Roma's vulnerability that takes them to another level for me. You literally have no idea what's going to happen whenever they play. They could go down 4-0 in the first half and the chances of it ending 6-5 are reasonably good.

I would like to see a stat for the amount of ground Bradley covered in the Fiorentina game. I didn't think his "end product" was that amazing, but he was literally everywhere (Balzaretti's on some serious PEDs as well).

And Totti's been amazing. I would say people should pay more attention to what he's doing before he's gone, but speculating on his retirement seems a bit silly considering how well he's playing.

Dammit, unlike many here, I miss Serie A on TV... Some exciting players in that league...

I've found myself watching BeIn more for the Serie A than La Liga. Part of it's Roma, but Fiorentina's a fun team to watch, and so is Napoli (I actually care less about watching either of the Milans for whatever reason).

It's really been amazing to see. It's not like some other top players of his age that have taken a bit of a backseat but have their brilliant moments here and there. He's put the team on his back and is running around like a teenager. His rating on sites like whoscored as among the top 10 most productive attacking players in the world underrates what he's doing so far, if anything. I'm not sure there's a playmaker anywhere that's been as consistently sublime as him so far this season, regardless of age.

Agree that, like with Pirlo, he's just such a special type talent that does so many things with the ball that no one else even considers. There's not really another in his mold.

It's actually kind of sad to see lists of top100 players with him not even present when 75% of the list would have to stand on their tiptoes to see over his bootstraps.

Probably Roma will only ultimately challenge Juve if Bradley comes a bit closer in his end product to what Marchisio gives them. But, he's been invaluable so far. His movement is smart as well as tireless and makes everyone else that much better.

Fox should also try to get games from the Championship. People will at least DVR them (when oppo the PL) if not turn to them when Villa-type beatdowns happen.

I miss it too.

After the NFL was over, I could literally watch live European Soccer on FSC from 6:30 am to about 6 pm on Sundays if it was too cold or nothing else was going on.

What do you know about Mobido Diakite (Lazio)? Any good?

Apparently we are looking to sign him to a pre-contract next month, to bring him in on a free transfer this summer...
