Searched, but one of those stories that it doesn't matter if it's Germans. Deserves reading.

Great article. Also:

quote:

Friends of the Corbetts discussed Miles visit in posts on Tigerdroppings.com, an LSU sports fan website, at the time.

“I am proud of our head coach as a football coach,” wrote Wendell Evers, an old friend of Ronnie. “I am proud of our head coach as a father, and I am proud of our coach as a man. With all the happenings this week surrounding LSU football (the Mathieu story), Les finds time to make this visit. I conclude this post with a request for your prayers for this young man and his family.”

Approximately 20 positive posts soon followed on a website that can be filled with venom.

“It isn’t a big deal that a coach is visiting someone sick,” read one post. “But I guarantee you this, Les Miles is one of the very few that do this for the right reason.”

Great article with one zinger from Dildeaux:

"Friends of the Corbetts discussed Miles visit in posts on Tigerdroppings.com, an LSU sports fan website, at the time.

Approximately 20 positive posts soon followed on a website that can be filled with venom"

My guess is every head football coach in the country has a favorite charity. I think its a good thing because it benefits less fortunate people. Coaches today understand the value of public relations and giving back. Some of this is probably the result of good sports agents. It's a great thing for everybody.

Thanks for the article post and don't ever worry about the germans thing, because I think a lot of us don't make their living reading the rant everyday.
