Why do kickers always get the blame for a loss on a missed FG?

All these Rutgers players and coaches are giving the kicker who missed a 42 yarder in the rain from the right hash in overtime a hard time, as if he was the sole reason they lost

How about treating the Rutgers offense like that, who scored 0 points after the 1st quarter and didn't gain a single yard in OT

This always seems to happen when a kicker is put in a tough spot thanks to an offense that didn't do its job

When u suck that bad it's makes you feel better to blame the kicker

Makes the QB who had like 4 completions all game feel better

They didn't even score a TD. The one score came on defense.

if a college kicker can't make that, he shouldn't have a scholarship...

It's his responsibility to make the kick. If he doesn't make the kick, he gets the blame.
