I was a fairly decent player into my 30's . I'm 6'4" and played alot. When I was 33 had to have an opperation on my leg,so I quit playing. When I was 40(46 now) had a friend call wanting me to come play on his YMCA team..I blew about three layups and hit 2 out of 8 free throws,could barely make it up and down the court....our team sucked so bad that I was still leading scorer 
That was the last actual game I ever played, it's really hard to admit that I'm old and not good anymore

Me and some buddies were playing against JOB III, Honey Badger, Ego Ferguson, and 2 athletes I didn't recognize. I hit 2 3s, and I pulled up for a 3rd, and JOB comes flying out of nowhere and I had to throw some ridiculous pass to avoid an up&down or get my shite thrown. Pretty embarrassing.
We were up 11-10 and JOB throws up a fadeaway 3 through a double team to win the game. We were so frickin pissed. They have us hugs after because they finally had a competitive game
It was awesome cause we were 4 white guys and a black guy. My friend and I were fortunate to hit a few 3s to give us a lead

Playing 5 on 5 at the Rec with some friends. Well one of my friends(he's a tall, big guy and let's just say bball wasn't his strongest sport) grabs the rebound and instead of passing the ball to the PG he decides he wanted to channel his inner Magic Johnson and lead the fast break. Before he got to half court he some how stepped on the ball while dribbling and face planted on the court. Both teams immediately stopped the game and started laughing. Good times.

Friend when we were in 7th grade at Lake Castle took a pencil through the testicle and out the other side of the sack. It was horrific. They had to remove the testicle completely.

I was playing a pickup game at the LSU Rec with some friends. I was dribbling the ball up the court and a guy steals the ball from me, as i chase him back down the court i went to steal the ball back (i was running full speed) and he stopped on me........i went flying past him about 5ft almost to the next court.

Long time ago, playin and dude bowed me in the face and cut my eye. I went to my bag and got my towel out to dab up the blood and then pulled out my 9 and shot him in the face, then got the frick out of dodge.
I was never caught for that.

I use to play at the rec alot. I was pretty good could shoot from anywhere. Would play with the football players alot and it was nuts how much ground TM7 would cover. Watching him fly around was always amazing.
The best are the guys that foul their arse off an bitch when you call it. Which I never did. But they would call phantom calls just because they messed up.
I don't really have any bad stories. Saw a 50 ur old and a 20 year old get in a fight and roll around on the ground which was pretty funny.

Dislocated shoulder last year in a co rec intramural game. Walked straight off the court and had my gf who was also playing take me to the hospital.

- runner up. CHS alumni shoot out, got hot, hit four shots in a row, guy guarding came under me and i landed on his foot and sprained my ankle terribly. horrible pain. i turned it so bad the guy i was holding literally grabbed my foot and held it up (i don't know why) the worst part: my gf at the time ran over to see if i was okay.
- the worst. played weekly at a friend's gym. played there for three or four years. one day a guy i know brought two friends. both were black. game stopped. guy goes over and talks to the guy that brought the two black guys. a small conversation ensues. my friend and the two guys left. guy comes back. and says, private gym no nurgas. never played there again.

Good thing you didn't name the gym because half the OT would sign up for the reason you mentioned.

Playing against a guy who was drunk. He was fouling a ton mainly because he was drunk. I went up for a shot he jumped into me and knocked me down. Landed with arm straight up and tore my labrum. Had surgery month or so later. Good news was I made the shot. Guy is one of my good friends and he felt really bad about it.
