That was hyperbole, but hopefully you get the point.

If all other SEC teams lost every single OOC game this year, who would give a damn about a 10-2 LSU? We'd be Western Kentucky.

The point is still a stretch. It will take a lot for the SEC to be viewed as such. The great teams have made a name for themselves and really don't need the league to do well overall (though it will be affected by the computers but not much in the human polls), but yeah the small teams (kentucky, vandy etc) can "root" for the big teams because then they can hide behind that.

Whole lot of dumb in this thread

One guy saying ULM would beat UCLA

One guy saying LSU would be equivalent to western Kentucky if sec teams would start losing bowl games

I'm out

You are the dumb one. Do you think UCLA could hold UL-M's offense tonight or any night?

Looks pretty dumb now.

You're not giving UCLAs offense enough credit

UCLA offense vs Baylors Def > Baylor offense vs UCLA def

USC was number one to start the year, and were pretty bad for much of the year. They lost by 10 to this same UCLA team that is getting buried by Baylor.

What if Bama goes 12-1 and LSU, UGA, aTm, USCe and UF are similarly abysmal? Do they still get the benefit of the doubt over 1 loss k-state and Oregon because of how good SEC teams were in previous years?

oh frick that. I mean, I might pull for them to win, as in I'd prefer it in this situation for this perspective advantage ie sec v big 12/10

But if they don't win, I don't give a rip. being actually concerned is a bit over the top.

Bama, LSU, Florida...yes. Sure it would help if those teams weren't so bad but unless they were really really fricked in the computers then either of those teams would still make it.

But the "bottom feeders" (Kent, Vandy) wouldn't get that same luxury were one of those teams to go 12-1 in the SEC which is why I said they need the league to do well.

What's the score? 337 left the thread because his team UCLA is getting raped.

Wow, UCLA is a train wreck. Way to get dominated by one of the worst defenses in the FBS this year.

Thanks now all we need is a long TD run by Lache so he can get over the century mark for this game.

I could be wrong but I think this is exactly what happens if the rest if the conference is garbage. The computers will make them pay.

It's pretty much what has happened to FSU the past couple of years. They'll continue to slap around weak ACC opponents and will always be on the outside looking in when it comes to the national stage.

Just checked and UCLA is 50th in rushing D, looks like Briles did his homework, didn't even bother throwing much.

I am surprised that Baylor gave up 26 to UCLA with 4 starting olinemen out for the game. UCLA didn't have depth on the oline and to lose so many, they were going to struggle.
