just picked up a Toshiba today, my dell i got 2 years ago basically for the price of a mac was a shite show with everything breaking.
Only thing i don't like about owning a new laptop right now is windows 8

the 13 inch macbook pro and air are basically the same price
seems like it just makes more sense to buy the more powerful of the 2 if price is the same

what do you get for $199? is it just a front-end for android and gapps?

It's not Android. It just runs a very stripped down Linux and the Chrome browser, as far as I know. Any "apps" you put on it will either be web apps or chrome apps.

no son, the ssd is instant memory recall. it never has to weight, and since there are no moving parts it doesn't break or catch any virus's
