I was laughed at on this board when I said LaRon would make a pro bowl with the Jets.

Laron is a beast in run support. He gets beat in coverage sometimes but hell who doesn't with the speedy recievers in the NFL.

And let's not forget the many QBs playing today with pinpoint accuracy.

Why would they put Landry in the Pro Bowl? The whole game is about not getting hurt and you know he is looking to knock the shite out of someone.

Landry now looks more like a linebacker than a defensive back. I doubt he runs a 4.3 40 anymore.

He looks like he is wearing pads with having to put them on.

I posit that Laron gets beat a little more often these days because he is no longer allowed by the rules of the game to interdict passing offenses with the threat of complete and utter destruction via his hitting prowess. It is a shame that one of his greatest abilities has been neutered in an imperfect solution to the concussion problem.

Laron is the spiritual successor to Sean Taylor and his incredible pro bowl punter hit. LINK

While on the subject of LSU Pro Bowlers, it amazes me that Donnie Jones has never made the Pro Bowl as a punter. He has the 9th highest yards per punt in history, but has been shut out of the Pro Bowl. He lead the league in 2008 with a 50 yard average.

Both Andrew Whitworth and Kyle Williams were snubbed.

I disagree. Neither was in the top three at their position in the AFC.
