New to all of this, but as I understand it, far less coins were minted in CC, so they are much more rare, hence higher in value.

Ah I am referring to a seller on Craigslist. They are so far no response. I'm going to pass on Campbell Yard Sales, thanks though.
You should definitely do a little research on the history of U.S. minting sites. The stories are fairly entertaining and interesting for that matter.
