Well my buddies place is in South Carolina so I didn't purchase the CC locally. But to me, there's only two places to consider. Louisiana Gold and Coin on Sherwood near airline and Baton Rouge Gold and Silver next to the Cove in Citiplace on Corporate.

Anybody got anything lately? Weird seeing this thread slip off the the first page.

I just placed my February order for a 1 oz. bar and a 2013 Silver American Eagle.

Still sorting my collection...

Debating back and forth between investing in coins or just buying bars.

Im scared if I buy coins, I will never want to let them go and will grow too attached.

I would go coins. They are just so pretty and nice to hold. I am going to get (20) 1 oz. bars and then go coins only. Going between Morgans, Peace, and Silver Eagles.

Yeah, was flipping through the channel and HSN or one of those was selling silver eagles. I caught myself watching for like 30 min. Holy shite the markup they were charging was ridiculous.

I was able to go on both APMEX and Silvertowne and find the same coins/grades 25-50% cheaper.

Finally got around to sorting through some of the half dollars I had. I went through about half of them and I came out really happy. I was not expecting to find anything as my guy at the bank told me most of them had been picked through when I picked them up.

Nonetheless though, came away with two 1967 Kenned Halves, one 1968 Kennedy half, and one 1969 Kennedy Half. None of them are in great conidtion, but not poor either.

My big find was a 1951 Franklin Half dollar. Same as the Kennedys, not in great, not in poor.

A rough melt value of $27.00. I am now looking forward to going through the other half.

As promised, here's the goods
(I also recently purchased 1986-1989 & 1999 ASE Proof's but not posting pics of them. Just use your imagination by placing those years over the 2013 ASE ):

ETA: Sorry about the large pictures, photobucket didn't upload them under the correct dimensions.
