I'll most likely never meet Les but I'd shake his hand if I did, sounds like a great guy

I met him and shook his hand once. Real a-hole. He asked for a sip of my beer and left nothing but backwash. Then he slapped my girl on the arse and said,"Lookin' good, bitch. That's a quality rear end."

True Story.

there's a reason why LSU leads the SEC in graduation rates (sans vandy) since les arrived. LSU's bad apples get the boot also. Les understands LSU is a college and "his" young men need to get an education in case the NFL doesn't work out. i'm not saying he is the only coach like this as i was also impressed with saban in that regard. but overall i just can't see miles getting an ulcer or hypertension.

SEC football officials are a small group and I'd imagine they share stories.

If you live amongst them or work with the Gumps

Lived and worked in Mobile for 10 years, I get what you are saying. They are not all bumper sticker kings with mullets hollering "Rawl Tahd' going down the highway...just like not all LSU fans hate their coach and complain about every single thing incessantly.

Aw, don't you know...they only offering constructive criticism to the very most successful HC in LSU history.

I don't know Les personally, but he seems to be a better man than he is a coach and he's a damn fine coach.

He's not perfect, but he/his teams have given me the greatest period of LSU that I have ever known.

Works for me!

I'd rather him focus less on hotdog condiments and more on decisions that snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
