Does anyone here have any friends @ the St. Landry Parish DA's office?

It seems as though I may have inadvertently been traveling a bit too fast yesterday & I got a speeding ticket for 76 in a 55. Anything over 20 the limit requires a mandatory court appearance. I come to my OB brothers for help...

Somebody was a dick during that traffic stop. Either you were and he held you at 76 to make you have to go to court or the cop for not cutting you a break and knocking it down to 74

just go to the DA's office. they have a form you can fill out that will drop the charge to nonmoving and you give them the money, which is all they really want. I used to do it all the time before I got the valentine 1. very easy process.

On the way back from red dirt nwr, I got one on hwy 72 I think. I showed up on my court day and the place was a mad house. The magistrate there didn't want to deal with all the hassle so she offered to make it a non moving violation for improper equip or something. Cost $100 in court cost. Good luck to you.

I wasn't a dick to the cop @ all. I was very polite & what not. He asked why I was going so fast & I told him that I was on my way home from work to put together a trampoline for my kid. He gave me the ticket & said, "goodluck with your trampoline".

I'm surprised they didn't have a "warrant" to seize your trampoline

I was on Hwy 10 between I-49 & Hwy 72. FWIW there is not 1 single speed limit sign posted on that road between I-49 & the intersection of hwy 10 & 72. There is a school zone that has a 45 mph limit from 7-9 AM & 2-4 PM. Other than that, no speed limit signs @ all. I double checked on my way back to the rig this morning.

I'm just hoping that the cop doesn't show up & they throw it out.

I go one just south of New Iberia Friday afternoon on Hwy 90. Both of us were extremely cordial with each other and he told me Merry Christmas after I signed the ticket.

sounds something like a hooker saying thanks, she enjoyed it, after you paid her, but she still didn't cut you any discount..

You may find that the cop is also the judge as well.

Would bet if he's not the judge that they are related. Hope it works out for you, and don't speed through them little towns, they will get you!!!
