Ran across two Rock Rivers Arms complete lowers today for $445/ea. I see where they are going for $500 on gunbroker but, are these prices inflated because of the "impending ban"?

Yes, prices are inflated. I would wait. There will be no ban

That is a good price for the frenzy going on. I've seen lesser lowers going for more.

That is kinda pricey. I would wait but this is coming from a fella with 3 lowers already plus some full grown ones.

Never really priced out lowers, parts kits, etc. Both "AR's" I've bought we're complete set ups.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just looked at Spike's website and lowers are expected to be back ordered 8-12 months..

My brother inlaw said he read that DPMS won't be shipping any complete rifles out til early 2014 so that sounds about right.

I would think that most of these bigger suppliers and manufacturers had a reserve for such a situation. I bet their reserve did not hold up as well as they expected...

The AR15News Facebook page reported early in the week that DPMS had told them that there would be at least a 12 month back order period for a majority of their parts.

I would make that bet too.

Rough guess, based on some in-person prices I saw at a gun show yesterday, AR prices have almost doubled.
Call it a 75% increase.

Feeding frenzy, and assuming no ban, this will slack off.

Of course, if there is a ban, this will be "the good old days" of pricing.

ETA: this was for whole rifles of various manufacturers
