Jbird is as dumb and dishonest as you are. Anybody with reading skills can see that his objection to my last post made no sense, whatsoever.

Which proves you're at his same low reading level. I support my arguments, probably more than anybody else on this board.

Obama has sold more guns in his tenure than the NRA has in its entire existence.

There are over 300 million people in this country; the NRA has four million members... fewer than groups like AARP. Why should that lunatic Wayne LaPierre get national uninterrupted coverage across most major networks to promote the NRA's agenda for guns?

At least New York's newspapers gave him the treatment he deserves:

Again, I really don't care about the NRA, nor do I know much about them.

This is a constitutional issue and the constitution just happens to be on their side.

So, they're pissed at them for NOT blaming murder on inanimate objects? Makes sense.

I'm not sure what your point is here Rex.

Many groups have noble causes to begin with. Then the group becomes somewhat corrupted by money and coverage. Ever hear of the Sierra club?

The NRA was founded in 1871. It has a long history of doing just what it said it does. As politics got involved, the NRA changed.

Interestingly the NRA has previously supported limited gun control legislation in the past. Because of those acts, the NRA has received harsh criticism at times. I guess the group has caved to the criticism.

This is not uncommon and can be seen by many other groups that are forced to adopt an all or nothing approach to keep the donations coming in...

Let me ask you this....Mr. Gun Control advocate. Who is going to protect us from the criminals when YOU take our guns away? Personally I've been the victim of theft three times. The last time I walked in on thieves as they were vandalizing my rental property. (apparently they were looking for the cooper in the electrical wires in my walls). I was remodeling the home. They put a barrier against my front door and that gave them enough time to escape. That barrier probably saved my life...who knows? I left my pistol at home (bad decision) and had to wait two and a half hours for the police to arrive so that they could clear my house. This particular incident is the second time in my life that I have been in real danger from armed criminals. The other time was a few years ago and I walked in on a armed prison escapee. Fortunately I was fast enough to escape before he could get a shot at me. Fortunately I instructed my wife to stay in the car while I checked on the suspicious noise in my house. Back then I never imagined I would ever experience something as traumatic as facing a gun in the hands of a criminal, and I didn't even have a gun. Fortunately my wife and I escaped with our lives. Now, I carry a gun with me all the time, and I know how to use it.

So let me ask you again. Who is going to protect ME from the criminals, when YOU take away MY weapon?

Rex you are a total idiot. The NRA sponsors numerous gun safety and hunter education classes. The problem is not guns and those who legally own them, it's criminals, mental cases, and drugs.....and liberals who don't want anyone to protect themselves.
