out of a spot you've been hunting for two weeks, how long do you wait before you hunt it again? The traffic has been crazy in there. Mostly at night, but had one slip up yesterday evening. Hunting different stand today.

I don't wait at all. The deer will come right back in. Ive shot plenty of deer and had the others come out and feed next to the dead one.

Don't wait

Ill go right back. That next buck cruising for a doe doesn't know what happened there even an hour before he shows up

Depend on how much tracking etc we do after to disturb the area. If its minimal then we go right back

Thanks. I should have hunted it this evening. I picked a stand that hasn't been hunted in two years. We put corn out yesterday at lunch and it is gone. But if you read what I put in the IST you'll see I'm in a death trap and I know now why it hasn't been hunted in a while.

Grandaddy always said wait one day. I always listened to him. Guess that'll change now.

Well, first you put a rope around the deer's neck and drag it 5 miles to camp and then....

I typically don't wait at all. Have shot several deer and had other ones not even pay attention to the dead one

I've shot as many as 3 deer in one day from the same stand. Two being bucks.

I've killed a buck on a morning hunt, went him and cleaned it the killed a doe off the same stand that evening. Unless you do an assload of shooting they come back soon.

A couple years ago, I shot a nice 9pt about 30 mins after getting into my stand. After about 15 more mins, a decent 7 and 6 started sparring right by the dead one. A couple does also walked through before dark.
