#7 don't really mean anything. Just b/c you had a great players wear it twice doesn't mean that it has any significance.

I believe the only # that has any meaning amongst the team is #18.

The number 7 shouldn't be used in same thread as 18.

18 rep the greatest LSU Tiger of all time, Jacob Hester.
7 (in most fans minds) represenypts a dopehead that continually let his team, coaches, school and fans downbc of his selfish attitude and desire to smoke pot instead of focus on the whole purpose of even being at LSU... Which was football.

One player is an icon, other is an embarrassment.

Love that guy man. I mean what a ball player. He was behind his time, reminds me of the old iron men from back in the 30's and 40's that you hear about. Had a mystique about him. Do you remember that drive (well how could you forget) in the 07 Florida game he was just pounding the ball. Never came out thought they were gonna kill him. I think they gave him the ball 10 times on that drive. He just kept going. Pretty sure he had blood stains on his jersey after the game.

WELL Bennie Logan coming back ensures he will wear it..... Otherwise look for Alfred Blue, who had lost his home and was injured this past year, but he is a football player!!!! Fits right into what 18 is all about!

#7.. well no one picked it up this year, but maybe they all thought Mathieu would be back...

Would it be crazy for Avery Johnson to sport the 7 after hus brother??? Could be him wearing 7 at WR

#7 represents Heisman Trophy Candidate together with:

Thorpe Award (2010)
Bednarik Award (2010)
SEC Defensive Player of the Year (2010)
First-team All-SEC (2010)

TM7:2011 Heisman Memorial Trophy Finalist | Details
2011 Bednarik Award Recipient | Details
2011 Walter Camp National Player of the Year Finalist | Details
2011 First-Team All-American at Cornerback (AP, FWAA, Sporting News, Walter Camp, CBSsports.com, ESPN.com, FoxSportsNext.com, Rivals.com, SI.com)

I agree with you. Interestingly enough, per an LSU football player who will remain anonymous, TM7's problem wasn't just pot. This guy said he was on painkillers all the time.

Number 7 had no significance untill last season. There was a talented string of people wearing it but it wasn't passed down till pp7 gave it to tyrann.

I feel like I'm the only poster who doesn't care about the #18 thing. Am I a bad fan?
