If you're a fan of the books, the movie is definitely worth seeing.

I loved the first 5 or 6 books, then they started to get stupid.

I plan to check it out on DVD and look forward to it. There is no way I could convince my friends or family to go see it in the theaters. Too many other good movies out right now like Django, les mis (heard really good things about it), lincoln, etc.

I am not a big tom cruise fan but most of the movies he is in are pretty good, so its hard to pan him too much.

A Few good men, Legend, Top Gun, Minority Report, Rain Man, Born on the 4th of July, days of Thunder, interview with the Vampire,Jerry Maguire, collateral, magnolia. All great films IMO. Dude works his arse off. I wasn't too thrilled about Reacher but I'll definitely check it out now.

I like the MI movies a lot, too. Very entertaining. Thought he was great in The Firm.

Has he really only appeared in 39 movies (including yet to be released films), per IMDB? That's really interesting. He is very selective.

I didn't care for the movie. I expect some changes from the book, but removing entire sub-plots and eliminating key characters is another thing.

I'm not even sure this was the best Reacher book for a film.

It was enjoyable. Nothing great by any standards, but worth the ticket price.

they hired a lot of short actors to play opposite him.

I don't get all the Tom Cruise hate. Vanilla Sky may be one of the most underrated movies of all time. IMO

This movie was awesome. Great popcorn flick. I also got the vibe that certain scenes were taking a shot at how cheesy the action movie genre has become

I loved it. Cruise was great, and it was a decent adaptation of the book.

Face it, any book adaptation is going to leave some stuff out. I judge a good one by whether or not they don't miss the point of the story. They didn't here.

A series of books by author Lee Child. I believe there are 17 that have been published so far. Btw, Jack Reacher is the protaganist in the books. His name does not appear in any of the book titles, however. There is no book called "Jack Reacher."

I think he was just quoting the overly used question at the beginning of the movie.

We saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. Had not read any of the books but might now. For those who won't watch a movie because they don't like a particular actor in real life, I have to laugh. If that was my standard, I wouldn't get to see very many movies.

Yea, I don't understand the hatred people have directed at certain actors.

Tom Cruise is a very good actor. I've enjoyed most of his work, besides M:I 2 and 3.

Les Miserables: Good but not great. Exposes many of the problems that a live production is able to gloss over (no balance between plot lines, songs that are absolute stop downs). Russel Crowe can't hang with the big boys, except for Marius who had a serious case of Muppet voice.
Twist: Watching this movie is the equivalent of sucking 2.5 dicks

shite. Do I really have to suck 3.5 dicks? My wife wants to see it and she rarely asks me to take her to a movie. Oh well. Time to swallow my pride and take them dicks as I drive her to a movie.
