quote:

Willis: "I have been to several schools where the players didn't really interact with you. They kind of act like you are just a recruit and ‘we will get to know him once he gets here.’ Loston and I got along very well and from what I have seen, it is just one big happy family. You can really tell how genuine the program is when players come back to work out at the facilities. They give money back and everything and really give back to the program.”

quote:

Willis: "I can't say any team is in the lead right now, and it's not a two team race like some reporters have written. I am still open to Florida State and Nebraska, as well as LSU and my other teams. FSU is up there. The new defensive coordinator is the old defensive (backs coach) from Alabama under Coach (Nick) Saban. They have put players in the league. Nebraska and Arizona State and it is really a 5 or 6 team race right now. That is why I am unsure really.”

Sounds like he really enjoyed his time at LSU. He mentions making his decision at the Under Armor Game but is still unsure. I really hope he becomes a tiger.

Lets just pray that distance doesn't convince him to stay out west

I think if he's considering Florida state, the distance thing might not be that big of a deal as we are making it to be.

Before his visit to LSU he was considered a UCLA lean, he's not going to FSU. It's a UCLA/LSU battle I think.

Yes, some sites are reporting Priest is thinking of pushing it back.

There is no way it's a 5-6 team race.

LSU has one recruiting tool that is unmatched in the entire nation: Bogies.

Looking good. Far from an LSU lock but at least it reaallyy appears he has not decided and LSU really is in the hunt AND his visit undoubtedly has LSU near or at the top!

Sounds like the visit helped Priest's parents feel more comfortable with the idea of their son going to college away from home. I really hope we get him.

Toshirio Davis disagrees...

I think we made up plenty of ground this past weekend. He heard all of the chatter about how great LSU was and the whole DBU thing prior to coming...I think getting him on campus and bonding with the players increased our chances tremendously...I feel good about where we are at the moment.

Man I hope his step-father has a big influence on his decision because he really seemed to like LSU and the coaches alot. One thing I think Les does better than any other college coach is give parents a sense of comfort. He really knows how to showcase that family atmosphere.

Agree 100%...if I had a son, I would love for him to play for Les...A true players coach

Cousin, I was just about to come and post that. It is hilarious to me that you have 2 guys that have completely different things to say. It seems to me that Davis was looking for something negative to make himself feel better about what he was about to do while Willis is looking for positive things to further his desire to come to LSU. I really think that this kid wants to come to LSU and I think that this visit really helped. It makes way more sense for him to come here than to UCLA. We have a much better coaching staff than UCLA, we actually compete for championships and we put a ton of defensive players into the NFL every single year and they are good.
