Forgot how much I enjoyed this movie. Aside from some shitty plot direction and a weak 3rd act, I though it was really enjoyable. Mann's cinematography is always money. There are some really great scenes
That briefcase scene
Cruise was really great in it.

Yeah. Tom Cruise plays a good bad guy. I love the night club scene.

It's solid until it turns into a dumb cat and mouse game in the third act.

I had forgotten about this movie. I agree with everything that has been said. The nightclub scen was so dark and cool. The discussion of Miles Davis along with the quiz at the end created some great tension as well as provided good depth for Tom Cruise's character.

Really kills me, man. The plot just takes such a shitty turn after the night club scene.

Definitely. Loved that scene

No doubt. The movie should just stick with riding around with Tom while he slays fools. I guess it has to end somehow.

Club scene. Scene at hospital. Good flick.

I love the scene when Foxx has to get the kills on flash drive. He seems nervous, not gonna get it done then BOOM, "Tell him to put away that gun before I take it and beat his bitch arse to death with it." Great movie.

"Just a bad arse sociopath in my back seat."

Incredible underrated film all around. One of my absolute favorites.
On a deeper level, lots of existential elements to it. I see some of yall are critical of the cat and mouse third act, but Vincent and Max's last scene together on the subway is very powerful, IMO

Great freaking movie. Cruise plays an awesome heartless bad guy.
The part where he has Jamie Foxx handcuffed to the steering wheel and he's confronting the dudes that took his briefcase.... DAMN.
And like another poster said, the nightclub scene is great.
I need to get it.

Some people the movie would have been even better...
If it ended after Max crashed the car. "Presumably killing them both..or leaving it open for interpretation"
Although I do like this about the original ending....
The fact Vincent says, "Max! I do this for a living"
Then he gets gunned down by Max. Not because a Cab Driver could out gun a hit man. It was because Vincent was stuck on following his rules that he missed the chance to kill Max. All throughout the movie he shoots people twice in the chest and once in the head.
Well he tries that on Max and his bullets get stuck in the door. Max being more random and spontaneous is what gets him the edge on Vincent as he just shoots through the glass windows.
Really great stuff.

Fab film, Mann cinematography, and sexy silky soundtrack.
Own it, saw it at theatre, and yet still have watched it on TNT a good seven times as background tv while surfing the net..such an easy rewatch.

I really do like that final scene. It's just the whole thing of him going after Jada Pinkett Smith and all that. It really ties together nicely on the subway, though.

"He fell on the cab, he fell on the muthafrickin cab!"
I'd forgotten that Jamie Foxx was actually nominated for an Academy Award for this movie, the same year he won for Ray.
