I would suggest posting on BayouShooter classifieds. I posted that I was looking to buy a certain AK and not 15 minutes later had 3 people PM me looking to sell. 2 were very good deals, with 1 being far less than any outlet online. A lot of time you will find people just looking to get rid of a gun to move on to their one. No shipping and no sales tax either. Its worth a try for those of you scrambling to get a hold of one of these. I just got one for about $100 less than I was expecting, never been fired. Granted, you will have to know a little about the weapon to inspect it prior to purchase.

Sounds like a good way to unload a stolen gun.

BS is a pretty good site, but like all classifieds there may be scammers, buyer beware

I have both sold and purchased numerous items using the BayouShooter classifieds.

All of my experiences have been positive.

I literally thought everyone was exaggerating about the guns flying off the shelf, but I just got off the phone with both Academy Sports and Wally World (they sell a sweet Sig Sauer M400) and both have said their shortage has everything to do with the proposed crack down. Apparently neither store will be getting any more in for another 2-3 weeks!

Ditto here also, however, given the current state of affairs being extra careful and wary of deals too good to be true is a good rule of thumb.

If it has a trigger on it they will sell it fast right now. Hell, if it has a spot to put a trigger it will sell out.

Simply a piece if paper you and he sign and put your name on so if the gun comes up in a crime you can show some proof that you sold it.

i would think all you need is a notarized document saying " gun xxx with serial # xxx was sold to name by name on date witnessed and notarized by ..."
