I could see the questions here about receiving highschool accolades,

Meh, after paying attention a bit, you realize that those awards are given to big name guys. Beckwith was going to win it regardless of the season he had.

I always thought someone would give him a scholly to play QB though. He's such a playmaker, you have wonder what he'd do with the ball at the next level.

Agreed, and as far as the 2nd part I've read Ponamsky say he's a better qb prospest than Liggins who signed with LSU to play qb. Shows what kind of athlete this guy is. He could be such a stud here and give Chavis some flexibility in the front 7, especially on third down.

That's the thing with recruiting.

We'll see how he turns out.

The next average LB who takes advantage of great DT play?

But he's already listed at 225 before even getting to school. Has there been many OLB's @ LSU that's weighed 240-250?

Bama uses them because they can play that DE/LB hybrid, but in a 4-3, that's usually pushing the MLB range.
Riley played OLB at 245 lbs, and Beckwith looks like an even better athlete than he was.

No, because he's played QB most of his HS career. I understand he's played defense as well, but most of the time it was QB.

That's not a normal switch. But to each their own. If you guys see it, then I'm obviously missing it.
Are you leery over Melvin Jones, as well?

Te'o may not be all he's hyped up to be but he's far from average.

The guy who's on Federal Probation for falsifying credentials on his River Pilot License? Yeah, he's a reliable talent evaluator.

It shows how qualified he is to be trusted as a talent evaluator. I'd trust his opinion on a good forgery, or horsepower of a tug boat. Football prospect, not so much.

I don't think that's his opinion, I think that's what he was told by a coach on LSU's staff.

And i didn't know he was some ex-felon that's interesting.

He still hasn't canceled his official visit to LSU.

He hasn't announced yet. That means he doesn't want you to know where he is going. He can't cancel his trip before he announces because that would be the same thing as announcing he was going to alabama and he doesn't want you to know that yet.

So on the 4th he will announce to bama and he will cancel his trip to LSU shortly thereafter.
